1)

Pick all games being played each week via the INTERNET PICKSHEET (No Point Spreads).

2)

You earn 1 (one) point for each win or tie and 0 (zero) points for a loss.

3)

There will be three (3) weekly winners determined by the following criteria:

A)

Most correct weekly wins.

B)

Picking the winner of the Monday Night game or the last game of the week.

C)

Closest to the tiebreaker score (+ or -).

4)

Weekly wins are accumulated each week and the 1st and 2nd half season winners will be tabulated from the accumulated total points each week. Week 10 begins the 2nd half and although the points from the 1st half are carried forward and used to calculate how you are doing for the entire season. The 2nd half season starts from scratch to determine the 2nd half season winners.

The cost for playing in the "$how Me The Money" football pool is  $70.00 per entry for the entire 18 week season. You can have more than one entry in the pool, but each will cost $70.00.

First year players must pay in full by week 2 of the season.

Veteran players must pay $35.00 by week 2 and have until the start of the 2nd half of the season to pay in full.

The Commissioner plays for free (that be me).

$36.00 of the $70.00 entry fee will be used towards the weekly prize money. With an 18 week season, $36.00 divided by 18 equals $2.00 per week per entry towards the weekly prize pool payout to the top 3 places each week. The remainder of the entry fee goes toward the 1st & 2nd half seasonal prize winners.

EXAMPLE:

$36.00 x 100 (players) = $3,600.00 / by 18 = $200 per week to be paid to the top 3 weekly winners.

The remainder of the money, $34.00 from each player per week will be used to pay the winners of the 1st and 2nd half seasons and the person with the best overall W/L percentage for the entire season.

The season will be split into two separate halves. The 1st Half consisting of weeks 01-09 (9 weeks) and the 2nd Half consisting of weeks 10-18 (9 weeks). The prize money will be split accordingly.

The 1st Half Season Prize Pool covers Weeks 01-09
(9 weeks).

The 2nd Half Season Prize Pool covers Weeks 10-18 (9 weeks).

EXAMPLE:

If there are (100) entries in the pool, total seasonal prize money for the 1st and 2nd half would equal $3,400.00 ($34.00 x 100) - $200 for admin costs = $3,200.00

Points are awarded as follows:

1 - point for each win

1 - point for a tie game

0 - points for a loss

Three weekly winners will be determined using the following criteria:

Primary Tiebreaker:

Total POINTS (WINS) including the Monday Night Game (Or last game of the week).

Secondary Tiebreaker:

Monday Night Game TOTAL POINTS (Or last game of the week).

1st Place

Is most POINTS (Games Picked Correctly) and closest to the Tie Breaker score.

2nd Place

Is next most POINTS (Games Picked Correctly) and next closest to the Tie Breaker Score.

3rd Place

Is next most POINTS (Games Picked Correctly) and next closest to the Tie Breaker Score.

After all games except 1 (usually the Monday Night game) have been played I will post a report that shows who is "Still Alive" for the weekly prize. (See the Still Alive report) posted 1st thing Monday morning to see who is in the tiebreaker. Below is an example of how the the Still Alive Tie Breaker works.

**** NOTE ****

It is possible for 1 person to have a better record than everyone else with one game to be played and no way for anyone to overtake him/her for 1st place.

When this happens we have and OUTRIGHT winner and no one is in the Tie Breaker or eligible for the Broken Heart for that week. The Monday Night or last game of the week is still counted and used to determine the 2nd and 3rd place winners.

EXAMPLE:

St. Louis played @ Cleveland.

The 1st six players all had identical 12-3-0 records and all picked St. Louis to win.

The next 13 players all had identical 11-4-0 records. Some picked St. Louis and those that picked Cleveland were Still Alive. Those that picked St. Louis could never have a better record than those with 12-3-0 records.

Based on which team each player picked to win the Monday Night game and the Tie Breaker score. The software determined what each player needed to win the weekly.

You can see that some players had ** in the NEEDS column. This means that those players picked St. Louis to win and based on those with 12-3-0 records had no way of winning the weekly prize. These players are not in the Tie Breaker and are not eligible for the "Broken Heart" award for this week.

St. Louis defeated Cleveland 26-20 (total 46).

Below are the final standings for the week and the weekly winners.

Gooseman takes 1st (his tie breaker score was only 3 away from the total score).

Darryn Rose takes 2nd (his tie breaker score was 5 away from the total score).

Dred takes 3rd (his tie breaker score was 7 away from the total score).

See the next section THE WEEKLY TIE-BREAKER RULE for how weekly ties are handled.

All games must be played every week (no point spreads). If you forget to pick a game you will be given an automatic loss for that game.

The highest total POINTS for all games played through Monday or the last game played each week will determine the weekly winner.

If we do not have an OUTRIGHT winner before the last game of the week is played. The last game of the week usually the Monday Night game WILL be used to determine the weekly winner as well as the TOTAL score of the last game of the week.

1st Tie-Breaker

Most wins (POINTS) Including Monday Night Game or last game of the week.

2nd Tie-Breaker

Closest to the Total Score of the Monday Night Game + or - (Or the last game of the week).

1)

If two or more people are TIED for 1ST, they will split the prize money for 1ST and 2ND place.

2)

If two or more people are TIED for 2ND after 1ST place has been determined, they will split the prize money for 2ND and 3RD place.

3)

If two or more people are TIED for 3rd they will split the prize money for 3rd place.

4)

Winning 2nd or 3rd place in a weekly does not count as a weekly win for any of the 1st or 2nd half seasonal money places.

EXAMPLE:

Picking the Monday Night game or the last game of the week.

Jane Smith

Picked Las Vegas

Picked 29 for a total score

John Q. Public

Picked Las Vegas

Picked 52 for a total score

Joe Blow

Picked Dallas

Picked 45 for a total score

Betty Boop

Picked Dallas

Picked 45 for a total score

For Jane Smith to win Las Vegas must Score between 0 and 40 points.

For John Q. Public to win Las Vegas must sore 41 points or higher.

If Dallas wins Joe Blow and Betty Boop split 1st and 2nd place. It doesn't matter what the score is as they both picked the same Total Score.

Joe Blow and Betty Boop are losers anyway, they picked Dallas! (Just Kidding).

The 1st half of the season consists of weeks 01-09
(9 weeks).

The 2nd half of the season consists of weeks 10-18
(9 weeks).

The $how Me The Money Football Pool Summary report is an accumulation of each weeks results. The 1st half Y-T-D WINS/LOSSES columns are an accumulation of each weeks wins and losses. The % column is what determines the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners.

After the completion of the 1st half all that data is carried over to the 2nd half. The middle section of the report Year-To-Date WINS/LOSSES is the entire season. This is used to determine the person with the best W/L % for the entire season

The last section 2nd Half-To-Date WINS/LOSSES is just the 2nd half. This is used to determine the 2nd half seasonal winners.

The "Next Hottest Picker" Award will go to the person with the best Win/Loss % who has not won a 1st place weekly or finished 1st, 2nd or 3rd in the seasonal standings.

The "Broken Heart" Award will go to the person who was in the most TIEBREAKERS for that half of the season and always walked away with a "Broken Heart". If everyone eligible for the Broken Heart is tied at the end of each half season. The person with the best overall record for that half of the season who has not won any money for that half will be awarded the "Broken Heart" Award.

Remember if you win a weekly that automatically disqualifies you from the running for the "BROKEN HEART" Award.

The "Broken Heart Award" is determined each half season by the number of tie-breakers a player was in for that half season and did not win 1st place for the weekly via the Weekly Tie-Breaker rule.

If there is a tie for the Broken Heart award the player with the best W/L percentage for that half of the season will be awarded the Broken Heart award.

Each week there is a Thursday game. The Thursday games count for your weekly W/L record. What you can do is submit all your picks for the week anytime before the Thursday game and not have to worry for the rest of the week.

Or you can use the QUICK PICK buttons and submit all the HOME games or AWAY games depending on what team you want to pick for the Thursday game along with a TIEBREAKER score for the Monday game.

You can always submit any number of PIKSHEETS  whenever you want. The last set of picks submitted will override any previous picks submitted. Remember each time you submit a PIKSHEET you need to include all games played or unplayed.

Remember that once a game is completed I enter the score in the NFLPOOLMGR software which locks that game. If you try to change your pick for that game it will be ignored.

So here are your options:

1)

Submit all your picks for the week on Thursday and forget about it.

2)

Use the QUICK PICK BUTTONS to submit your Thursday pick AWAY OR HOME along with a Monday TIEBREAKER score. Then submit another PIKSHEET when you are ready to finalize your picks for the week.

Remember if you fail to submit your Thursday game pick you will be given an automatic LOSS.

If you fail to submit your final set of picks later before the games start and say you used the HOME quick pick button you will be stuck with all HOME games for that week.

I will not be posting just the Thursday game picks as many players submit all their picks for the week. There is no way to post just the Thursday game(s) and I don't want somebody copying another players picks. As each half comes close to ending those in contention I'm sure don't want their picks copied as it might impact the overall results for that half.

The WEEKLY PIKSHEET tells you when the picks are due for each week. Pay special attention as there are early games the week(s) they have INTERNATIONAL games.

On weeks when EARLY INTERNATIONAL games are played I would need your pick(s) for any early game before kick-off of that game. Picks for all remaining games will be needed by 1:00PM ET. If you submit all your picks prior to kick-off for the main games on Sunday you can re-submit your picks for any unplayed games prior to the 1:00PM ET Kick-Off time. No picks or changes will be accepted after the 1:00PM ET cut-off. All submitted picks have a DATE & TIME STAMPED.

If you are going to be out of town or on vacation you can submit picks for any number of weeks in advance using the INTERNET PIKSHEETS.

Picks can be submitted in the following way:

1)

The preferred way is to use the INTERNET PIKSHEETS available on the Website. You will receive a confirmation HTML page with your picks. Please print this as a record that you submitted picks in case of a dispute.

All player picks will be imported into the NFL Pool Manager database ASAP after kick-off for the Sunday games. I am a Raiders fan and go to a local bar to watch my Raiders play. I also work on some Sunday's which might delay when the picks are posted. So please be patient and thanks for understanding.

PIKSHEETS are imported into the NFL Pool Manager database based on your POOLNAME or POOL NICKNAME you used when you registered. If you failed to register and submit picks week 1; whatever POOL NAME or POOL NICKNAME you used to submit your picks will be added to the NFL Pool Manager database (WEEK 1 ONLY). Please make sure you use the same POOLNAME or POOL NICKNAME each week when submitting your picks. If you submit picks using a different POOLNAME or POOL NICKNAME than what you registered with you will recieve RANDOM PICKS for that week and whatever picks you submitted will not be accepted. NO EXCEPTIONS PLEASE (I am not a baby sitter).

2)

If you can't submit your picks using the PIKSHEET as a last resort you can send me a text message with your picks to my cell phone (919) 491-2595. I will manually enter your picks for you. Or you can manually send your picks to me via email to danno50ny@gmail.com.

If you use the INTERNET PIKSHEET to submit your picks, you can change your picks as often as you want prior to KICK OFF by submitting another complete set of picks via the PIKSHEET (the last PIKSHEET submitted will overlay and previous PIKSHEET submitted).

As a last resort ONLY you can text me or e-mail me once with your changes prior to KICK OFF for the 1st game on Sunday.

All PIKSHEETS are DATE and TIME STAMPED so don't try to submit your picks past the deadline. I will not accept them.

NO PICKS will be accepted after the Sunday games have started (NO EXCEPTIONS).

With the NFL Pool Manager software I have the option of making RANDOM picks. If have not receive your PICKS by the cut off time of that week I will submit RANDOM picks for you with a Tie-Breaker score of "99". These will be your picks for the week. You might even get lucky and win... It's happened before.

Unless you are Rip Van Winkle you should be well aware by now that the NFL has a Thursday game for most of the weeks in the season. Please see below the options governing Thursday Picks.

Question 1:

Can I submit just the Thursday pick on Thursday and the rest of the picks on Sunday?

Answer 1:

Yes you can.

Check the submit partial picks check box at the bottom of the PIKSHEET before submitting your picks.

Option#1

Submit just your pick(s) for the Thursday Game(s) or submit all your picks for the entire week. It's your option, but I need at least your Thursday pick(s) by game time on Thursday.

Option 2:

If you forget to submit your picks on Thursday. All Thursday games for you will be counted as a loss for that week.

But you can still submit your picks for the rest of the games for that week anytime prior to kick off on Sunday.

Option 3:

If you submit all your picks on Thursday you can make as many changes as you want right up to kick-off on the main game day which is usually Sunday.

Once the Thursday games are complete I will update the NFL Pool Manager database with the score(s) which LOCKS that game(s). So don't think you can pull a fast one on me.If you change your picks it will ignore any completed games when imported to the database.

Weekly results will be posted on my website  WWW.DANNO.NET. ASAP after the week is complete. Usually first thing Tuesday morning, but depending on my work schedule it could be later on Tuesday, but rarely later than Tuesday.

It is your responsibility to check your points each week for discrepancies. Any discrepancies will be reviewed and corrections will be made on the next weeks YTD standings.

I will try my best to get things updated ASAP each week. Please be patient.

Final interpretation of any of the rules will be made by me the commissioner. Every effort has been made to think of everything and make it clear, but I'm only human. My decision is final!

I hate to be a hard ass, but I have been doing this for many years and as many of you know I am very honest and fair. I try very hard to be accurate, but I am human and I do make mistakes. If you do not like my decision you have the option to receive a refund prorated too the remaining weeks in the season.

It takes a lot of time and effort to run this footbsall pool. I do my best to make it fun and transparent to you the players. Please do the same for me.

Thanks,
Commish Danno and have a great season.
